1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how the developer of Track Gear Calculator (the “App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information when you use the Track Gear Calculator mobile application or its web version.

2. Information processed by the App

The App does not require account registration and does not transmit calculator data or sensitive user data to the developer. It does not include behavioral analytics or tracking SDKs.

Calculator settings and preferences, such as selected cog and sprocket sizes, wheel parameters, chain parameters, cadence, distance, language, and measurement system, are stored locally on your device or in your browser. These settings are used only to provide the calculator’s functionality and are not transmitted to us.

When you open or refresh the Information section, the App requests content from andoga.cc. The request includes the selected interface language, the country or region code from the device’s system locale when available, the client platform, and the supported content-schema version. It does not include precise location, advertising identifiers, calculator settings, or calculation results. The downloaded content may be cached locally so it remains available when the network is unavailable.

Some time-limited test builds may also store the latest observed timestamp locally on the device solely to enforce the test period. This timestamp is not transmitted to us.

3. Website technical logs

When you use the web version, open a policy page, or request Information-section content from andoga.cc, the web server automatically receives standard technical request data. This may include your IP address, request date and time, requested URL and query parameters described above, HTTP status, referrer, and browser or user-agent information.

We use these logs only to deliver the website, maintain security, diagnose errors, prevent abuse, and ensure reliable operation. Server logs are rotated daily and retained for up to 14 days, unless a longer period is reasonably necessary to investigate a security incident or comply with a legal obligation.

Where applicable, processing of technical logs is based on our legitimate interests in operating and securing the service.

4. Communications

If you contact us voluntarily by email or Telegram, we process the contact details and message content you provide in order to respond to your request. We retain correspondence only for as long as reasonably necessary to handle the request, maintain relevant records, resolve disputes, or comply with legal obligations. You may request deletion of your correspondence by emailing deker101@gmail.com.

5. Sharing and sale of data

We do not sell personal data. We do not share App settings or calculator data with third parties because this information remains on your device.

Technical website data may be processed by infrastructure and hosting providers solely as needed to operate and secure the website, subject to appropriate confidentiality and data-protection obligations. Information may also be disclosed if required by law or necessary to protect users, the service, or legal rights.

6. External services and links

The iOS and Android applications contain only curated contact and legal links, such as email, Telegram, and this Privacy Policy. They do not contain donation, tipping, purchase, or external payment links.

The web version may additionally contain a voluntary project-support link to T-Bank. This web-only support does not unlock or provide any digital content, features, or services. The calculator does not send your data to these third-party services. If you choose to open a link or communicate through a third-party service, that service processes information under its own terms and privacy policy.

Apple and Google may independently process information when you download, install, update, or test the App through the App Store, TestFlight, Google Play, or other platform services. Their processing is governed by their respective privacy policies.

7. Data retention and deletion

Local App settings remain on your device until you clear the App’s data, clear the browser’s site data, or uninstall the App. We cannot remotely access or delete data stored only on your device.

Website logs are normally retained for up to 14 days as described above. Contact messages are retained as described in Section 4. The App does not create user accounts, so there is no account data to delete.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information under our control. The website is delivered over HTTPS. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

9. Your privacy rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding personal data, including the rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with a competent data-protection authority.

To exercise a right or ask a privacy question, contact deker101@gmail.com. We may need enough information to understand and verify your request. Because most App data is stored only on your device, the developer may not possess data that can be linked to you.

10. Children’s privacy

The App is a general-purpose bicycle calculator and is not directed specifically to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children through the App. If you believe a child has provided personal data directly to us, contact us so that we can review and delete it where appropriate.

11. International use

The App and website may be accessed from different countries. Technical information may therefore be processed in the country where the website infrastructure is located. Where required, we take reasonable steps to protect information in accordance with applicable law.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the App, website, legal requirements, or data practices change. The revised policy will be published at https://andoga.cc/policy_en.html with an updated “Last updated” date. Material changes will be communicated through an appropriate channel where required.
